Plus Size Workout of the Month: 60:30 Workout

Our workout for plus size beginners in March 2017 is a 60:30 Workout. All you need for this one is a medicine ball and a resistance band (optional).

As with all exercise, if it’s been a while since you were physically active or you have any health concerns, please check with your doctor to make sure they are happy for you to increase your activity. In most cases, they will encourage you to start moving more but it’s always been to get the okay for your unique set of circumstances.

Plus Size Workout of the Month: The Instructions

For this workout, you will alternate between two exercises in one circuit for 2-3 rounds before moving on to the next circuit.

One exercise will be a 60 second one and the other will be 30 seconds in duration. Perform the 60 second exercise, followed by the 30 second exercise and repeat. Once you have performed the exercises 2-3 times, move onto the next circuit.

Plus Size Workout of the Month: The Exercises

CIRCUIT ONE

  • 60 seconds: Walk/Jog
  • 30 seconds: MB Slam
  • REPEAT 1-2 times

CIRCUIT TWO

  • 60 seconds: Front Kick
  • 30 seconds: Push Ups
  • REPEAT 1-2 times

CIRCUIT THREE

  • 60 seconds: Low Impact Jumping Jacks
  • 30 seconds: Squats
  • REPEAT 1-2 times

CIRCUIT FOUR

  • 60 seconds: Walk Out Burpees
  • 30 seconds: Stick Ups / Resistance Band Rows
  • REPEAT 1-2 times

CIRCUIT FIVE

  • 60 seconds: Total Body Extensions
  • 30 seconds: Bicycle Legs
  • REPEAT 1-2 times

Pop some music on and give this one a go. Remember to take rest breaks if you need to and keep yourself hydrated.
