The Plus Size Fitness Workout of the Month for November 2016 is a super circuit using predominantly body weight exercises with a couple using a medicine ball for good measure. You can likely pick up a medicine ball from somewhere like Kmart or even ALDI when they have a sale. If you don’t have one, sing out and we’ll help with some alternative exercises.

As with all exercise, if it’s been a while since you were physically active or you have any health concerns, please check with your doctor to make sure they are happy for you to increase your activity. In most cases, they will encourage you to start moving more but it’s always been to get the okay for your unique set of circumstances.

Workout of the Month: The Instructions

This workout is a pretty traditional circuit where you have 10 stations and you spend time at each one before you move on to the next.

If you’re brand new to exercise, aim for twice through but spend just 30-45 seconds on each station, taking breaks when required. If you’ve been at it a bit longer, aim for 2-3 times through and spend 45-60 seconds at each station.

Over time, decrease the breaks and increase the time spent on each station or the number of rounds you do.

Workout of the Month: The Super Circuit

  1. Walk/Jog
  2. Jumping Jacks (can be low impact)
  3. Push Ups
  4. Butt Kicks
  5. Squats
  6. Walk Out Burpees
  7. Medicine Ball Slam
  8. Front Kicks
  9. Medicine Ball Overhead Press
  10. Bicycle Legs
